Easy Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Recipe

Is there anything better than the classic pairing of peanut butter and chocolate?

It’s amazing in cakes, cookies, candies, and more. (In fact, if you’re a big fan of all things Reese’s, try this recipe for homemade bun bars!)

But this recipe is something else. It’s like the chocolate milk you enjoyed as a kid, with an extra fun kick of nutty goodness.

That’s right - we’re making peanut butter chocolate milk!

It’s a comforting, nostalgic sweet drink that’ll take you right back to the joy of childhood, but with a gourmet twist.

And not only is it delicious, but it’s also incredibly simple to make. You only need a handful of ingredients and a few minutes.

Serve it with breakfast, lunch, or dinner - it’s delicious all day long.

Ingredients:

This recipe is enough for two drinks.

  • Creamy Peanut Butter
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Milk
  • Heavy Cream (optional)
  • Chocolate or Caramel Sauce (optional)
  • Milk Frother (optional)

How To Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk:

  1. Measure the peanut butter and chocolate into a small bowl and microwave in 10-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  2. Drizzle sauce into two chilled glasses (if using), then divide the milk between the two.
  3. Divide the peanut butter and chocolate mixture between the glasses and use the milk frother to blend. You can also use a spoon or add the ingredients to a mason jar and shake.
  4. Whisk the cream until soft peaks and spoon it on top of the milk. Serve with chocolate shavings and enjoy!

Recipe Variations

As it’s written, this recipe is sweet, nutty, and sinfully chocolatey. It’s also nice and creamy without being overwhelming.

That said, I do have a few fun ways to jazz it up:

1. Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Milk - Adding 1 ripe banana will bring natural sweetness and a few nutrients to this drink. And if you use a frozen banana, it’ll also make it crazy-thick and milkshake-like.

2. Almond Joy Chocolate Milk - Swap out the peanut butter for almond butter, and add coconut milk instead of regular milk.

3. Peanut Butter Mocha - Use half the amount of milk and top it up with brewed coffee.

4. Vegan Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk - Use non-dairy milk like almond or oat milk, and substitute the heavy cream with coconut cream. Also, be sure to use vegan chocolate.

5. Protein-Packed Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk - Add a scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder and be sure to blend it well. This is a great post-workout treat that’ll replenish your muscles.

6. Boozy Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk - Add a shot of bourbon or Baileys Irish Cream.

7. White Chocolate and Peanut Butter Milk - Use white chocolate instead of dark or milk for something ultra sweet and rich.

8. Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milkshake- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it thick. Serve with chocolate sauce in the glass and whipped cream on top.
