Best Vanilla Coffee

I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing I love more in the morning than a big mug of vanilla coffee.

I mean, we all know that coffee can be pretty bitter, which is why I like adding vanilla. And the easiest way to do that is with vanilla simple syrup.

The Best Vanilla Coffee

Imagine starting your day with a rich, smooth coffee that’s perfectly sweet and creamy notes of warm vanilla.

Sounds pretty heavenly, huh?

I know most people head to Starbucks to get their vanilla latte fix, but it’s oh-so-easy to make at home - not to mention cheaper!

And this vanilla coffee recipe flawlessly combines the dark, robust taste of coffee with the light sweetness and exotic aroma of vanilla.

It’s just what you need to kick-start your day.

And in case you’re wondering, this is perfect with a thick slice of banana bread!

Ingredients:

This recipe is enough for two drinks. If you want to make iced vanilla coffee, use cold brew, or make the coffee the day before and leave it in the fridge overnight.

  3. If using vanilla paste, add that with the sugar and stir.
  4. Heat the pot on medium to low, stirring until the sugar has melted.
  5. Set aside to cool and store in a glass jar or bottle.
  6. Add the vanilla pods to the glass for storage

For the Coffee:

  1. Add ice to your mug if you want iced coffee.
  2. Brew your favorite coffee or add cold brew to a mug.
  3. Pour the simple syrup into the mug, along with the milk or creamer.
  4. Stir and enjoy!

Recipe Variations

If vanilla isn’t fancy enough for you, check out these awesome recipe variations. And don’t forget, this is your drink, so you can spice it up however you like!

1. Cinnamon Vanilla Coffee - Add 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the coffee grounds before brewing. Alternatively, add a couple of cinnamon sticks to the vanilla coffee syrup so it infuses.

2. Almond Joy Coffee - Use coconut milk or coconut creamer instead of regular milk.

3. Mocha Vanilla Coffee - Dissolve 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder into the coffee before adding the milk or creamer. Top it with grated chocolate for serving.

4. Caramel Vanilla Coffee - The vanilla syrup uses brown sugar, so it’s already pretty caramelly. But if you want more, replace half of the vanilla syrup with caramel syrup.

5. Chai Vanilla Coffee - Add 1 teaspoon of chai spice mix to the coffee grounds before brewing.

6. Maple Vanilla Coffee - Replace the vanilla syrup with maple syrup.

7. Vanilla Nut Coffee - Use your favorite nut-based milk, like almond or hazelnut, instead of regular milk or creamer. You could even add some nuts to the syrup as it simmers, then strain it before storing.
