As you’ve probably guessed, my name is Claire and I’ve been a baker and pastry chef for over ten years now. I studied in New York, ran a bakery in Spain and just spent the last couple of years working in a steak house in Toronto. Not to mention a stint in a cute little vegan cafe on the West Coast. Needless to say, I’ve done a lot of baking. Cakes, breads, tarts, pies, you name it.

Obviously 2020 has been a little crazy, for all of us. I started out the year thinking I was applying to live in Canada. We moved to the West Coast, got jobs, sold all our things in Toronto…only to find the visa didn’t come through in time. We had to leave Canada in a rush, kind of defeated.

My boyfriend and I actually arrived back in Europe - to his home country of Estonia - the day before the lockdown. Yeah, we got lucky there! So I found myself unemployed in a new country and just kind of twiddling my thumbs…

So, I started up the youtube channel during lockdown and it’s been such a great outlet. I’m sure you guys have all been baking away at home too (is there such a thing as too much banana bread??)

And when you have time on your hands and no real job, well, what’s better than baking? I saw so many people trying new things and thought I should too. My hope it to bring some delicious treats to the table, with easy to follow recipes that are foolproof. I’ve even coaxed my boyfriend into the kitchen!

We have a few videos up already and I hope you guys check them out and subscribe. I’m hoping to upload at least once a week, more if I can. The idea is to us the blog as a companion with pictures and recipes.

I hope you give the recipes a go because they’re easier than they look and are oh so delicious!
